A Message about Mrs. Miles:
Greetings to all! Teaching is a second career for me and I LOVE teaching children to read. I’ve taught grades K-3 over the last 15 years. I grew up in Louisiana and moved to Tennessee when I married Mr. Miles. We have two grown children. Here’s some more about me.
Favorite Color: Purple
Favorite Food: Any kind of seafood-shrimp, fish, scallops!
Favorite Drink: H2O with a slice of lime
What I do for fun: Bake, Bike, Hike, Spend time with my family, and of course READ!!
Favorite Sport: We love College Football, especially the LSU Tigers and USC Gamecocks!
Books I love: I belong to two book clubs and love any good mystery especially ones written by Agatha Christie or Sue Grafton. When I was young, I loved the Little House series and stories about horses. Now my favorite children’s books are ones by Roald Dahl or Mo Willems.
Interesting facts: I love to visit places that have been the setting of a children’s book or the home of a children’s author. We have visited the Missouri home of Laura Ingall’s Wilder and the Chincoteague Islands, home to the story “Misty of Chincoteague”.
